The railroad that was thought to be impossible to build is known as the worlds “most difficult railroad”. A great achievement in the railroad history of the world costs thousands of lives. Two American builders and brothers, Archer and John Harman united for the first time in four hundred years, the capital city of Quito with the ports of Guayaquil and on to the rest of the world, bringing along prosperity and modernism that changed the character of Quito forever.
